“Having worked in youth-centered nonprofits, I can clearly say that the work we are doing at Families First with parents and caregivers is crucial to child development. When parents create a strong home environment, children receive the support they need to be resilient and make healthy choices.”
Jenn joined Families First’s team in June 2022 to build on the ongoing success of development efforts during an exciting time of growth for Families First. She joined Families First with a decade of nonprofit management experience, including eight years living and working in Ecuador for a nonprofit she co-founded.
Jenn began her career in nonprofits on the program side, working with underserved youth in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Recognizing the importance of local leadership, Jenn spent her time building community and empowering leaders who were later able to take leadership over the programs. Upon moving back to the United States, Jenn shifted her focus to development and communications to sustain the work of these programs. She is passionate about development as a means to bring awareness to important issues and amplify the voices of those who want to share their story.
Jenn is a graduate of Fairfield University, where she earned her B.A. in International Studies and Social Justice in Latin America.
