“Effective parent education can be a catalyst for positive change within families.”
Sydney joined Families First team in November 2023. Her decision to join Families First stems from a profound desire to contribute to an organization dedicated to parent education. While studying at Columbia University in Developmental Psychology, Sydney researched parent dynamics and its effects on child development, specifically with the father-child relationship. Additionally, she holds a BA in Child and Adolescent Development and Counseling from San Francisco State University, which began her expertise in understanding the impact of family structures.
Working in schools and various educational nonprofits, Sydney observed firsthand the transformative power of parenting on a child’s growth and development. She is driven by the belief that effective parent education can be a catalyst for positive change within families and envisions harnessing her academic achievements and practical insights to enhance and expand our programs, fostering a supportive environment for families to thrive.
