Marissa joined Families First in July 2018. She has always been passionate about promoting the strength of families, healthy childhoods, and reducing adverse childhood experiences.
As Regional Director of Greater Boston, Marissa is responsible for the Power of Parenting programs throughout the Greater Boston region. Marissa maintains and cultivates partnership so that the programming continues to grow, and she supports the team who directly manage programs in the field. Prior to this role, Marissa has held other manager roles in Families First to ensure the successful delivery of Power of Parenting programs in the Greater Boston area.
Marissa is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she earned a Masters of Education in Human Development and Psychology with a specialization in Child Advocacy. While at Harvard, Marissa was awarded a Certificate of Child Protection through the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights. She has also earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Vermont.
