Congratulations to Juan-Carlos Ferrufino, Families First’s Partner Relationship Manager, on receiving the Boston Alliance for Community Health Healthy Community Leadership Award! Nominated by Mark Culliton, the CEO of College Bound Dorchester, Juan-Carlos has been highlighted as a Bostonian from an underrepresented group who has taken on a leadership role within a community-based organization to improve community health.
In his short time on the Families First team, Juan-Carlos has already had a great impact on the work we do with families. Juan-Carlos says, “I feel connected to the immigrant community in every way. So when I talk to people in the community doing this work, I can see myself in them. I really love when I can support any step to make someone be more independent and self-sufficient.”
