“Parenting is often described as the most important job in the world, but many parents lack the support, resources, or understanding to thrive in their roles. Families First empowers parents to make a real difference in their own lives, the lives of their children, and the communities in which they live and work.”
Petra Raposo joined Families First in July 2024 as a member of the Development team. She previously worked in a variety of non-profits in both administrative and program support roles, most recently at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. She has a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College, and is passionate about writing, media literacy, mental health, restorative justice, and animal welfare (among many other things).
Petra grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts, and has lived in the Boston area since 2010. She is inspired by Families First’s mission and programs and is excited to join the team!
