Vesna Karmelic is a Chilean psychologist, with extensive experience in the education and mental health fields. In her professional career, she worked for more than 20 years in Higher Education institutions in Chile, holding various roles, including undergraduate teaching, teacher training, and leading university outreach projects. She also held managerial roles that included leading the Students Admissions Office, the Center for Psychosocial Intervention, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership at a public university. Previously, she worked as a child and adolescent psychologist in educational and clinical settings as well as in her private practice.
After moving to Boston, Vesna joined Families First as a Program Facilitator in 2021, where she leads parenting programs in Spanish and English. In parallel, she also works as a Master Observer with the National Institute of Out-of-School-Time.
