Megan joined Families First in July of 2019. Her passion has always been positive youth development, and she has specific interests in early education, child welfare, and the foster care system. Prior to serving with Families First, Megan completed a year of service with AmeriCorps: State/National in Illinois, working with at-risk youth on the south side of Chicago. She was a graduate intern at Massachusetts Citizens for Children, where she worked to improve awareness and responsiveness to the unique vulnerabilities children with disabilities have as potential victims of abuse. She also completed a master’s policy brief on the consistency and standardization of child advocacy centers throughout the country.
As the Strategic Growth and Partnership Coordinator, Megan will work to internally cultivate and externally facilitate expansion of the Power Parenting Program into the greater Boston area.
Megan is a graduate of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, where she earned a Master’s in Public Policy and Family Services Management. Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University.
